MOBILE FIDELITY MASTERTRACKER MOVING MAGNET PHONO CARTRIDGE
The MOBILE FIDELITY MasterTracker is a Moving Magnet phono cartridge with micro Linear stylus featuring pure Ohno continuous-cast copper coils and a Micro Linear diamond stylus, and V-Twin dual-magnet generator system. The result: Surgical precision, pinpoint accuracy, and a purist-based picture of what was cut in the studio.
Drawing on 40 years of making records at Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab, the new MoFi Electronics division is focused on improving the sonic integrity of audio reproduction in the home. Our products are the result of multiple collaborations with some of the world’s best audio designers, stemming from decades of experience in the studio. We designed three new highoutput, moving-magnet phono cartridges in collaboration with Allen Perkins of Spiral Groove. MoFi cartridges use a V-Twin dualmagnet generator that mirrors the design of a lathe’s stereo cutter head. Two powerful low-mass magnets are accurately aligned in parallel with the stereo record grooves to achieve excellent channel separation and detail retrieval true to the Original Master Recording.
WELL-DAMPED BILLET ALUMINUM BODY
The well-damped billet aluminum body controls resonances for tight, accurate bass reproduction. MasterTracker has the lightest-weight magnets in the Tracker Series, delivering the kind of detailed, open performance normally attributed to high-end moving-coil cartridges.
MICRO-LINE DIAMOND STYLUS
By using a Micro-Line diamond stylus shaped like the cutting head of a record lathe, MasterTracker traces vinyl groove walls with microscopic precision.
