MICHELL APOLLO MM/MC PHONO STAGE
The APOLLO is MICHELL's latest high-end PHONO STAGE, covering both MM and MC cartridge types. Dip switches located underneath the Apollo ensure the best is extracted from your cartridge of choice. The MUSE PSU provides an isolated, stable voltage to allow the Apollo to perform at its best.
The Apollo is the ideal partner for the new Gyro turntable, but can be incorporated into any vinyl based system.

Pure Power: APOLLO’s inbuilt power supply circuitry works in harmony with the MUSE power supply to further refine and regulate the DC power. This creates an extremely clean and stable supply for the amplification stages.
High-Quality Preamplifiers: Borrowing technology typically used in professional microphone amplifiers, the class A preamplifiers ensure precise signal handling.
RIAA Circuit: Signal rectification is achieved via a finely tuned passive RIAA circuit, preserving absolute fidelity.
Class A Gain Stages: Subsequent amplification stages utilise class A circuits for clean, accurate, natural sound reproduction.
Hand-matched components: We measure and match each capacitor by hand to ensure it fits within stringent tolerances, guaranteeing precise channel balance.Regulation and Feedback: Each stage is monitored and controlled using feedback circuits for consistent performance.
The MUSE power supply is designed as an independent unit to optimise the power provided to the APOLLO system.
Mains Power Management: MUSE uses a high-quality low noise toroidal transformer, advanced capacitance multiplier technology and very high-quality voltage regulators, to reduce ripple and noise, delivering two highly filtered and regulated DC outputs.
Dual Filtration: It works in harmony with APOLLO's internal power supply for superior filtering and regulation.
Noise Isolation: By housing the transformer separately in MUSE, any noise generation is isolated from the amplification circuits.
The Result: A clean, stable power source that enhances the performance and precision of the amplification stages.The external DC cable connecting the units is a custom-designed, high-quality audio cable, made in the UK.

High Quality ChorAlloy Plated XLR Connectors: Provide high pressure multi pin connections and reduces cable impedance changes by maintaining cable structure at termination. Maintaining overall signal integrity.
Precision engineered enclosures enhance performance, by preventing RF interference from entering the units.
Solid aluminium construction: Each unit is machined from two solid billets of aluminium and a solid aluminium back plate. These fit together to form a solid barrier (faraday cage) against RF interference.
Mass & rigidity: The enclosures are heavy for their size and very rigid, this helps isolate the sensitive circuits inside from vibration, therefore enhancing performance.
