Dolby Atmos surround speaker

Using the integrated wall mount, the Q8 Meta can be hung as a high-fidelity surround or rear speaker. Alternatively it can be placed upon another speaker bringing Dolby Atmos sound to the room with no need for custom installation. Uni-Q technology places the tweeter precisely at the acoustic centre of the bass/midrange cone, so both act together as a single point source to disperse sound more evenly throughout the room. The result is the elimination of the limited ‘sweet spot’, therefore allowing everybody sitting at different spots in the room to experience and enjoy the same natural, detailed sound.

Metamaterials are specially developed structures that use existing materials in such a way that they exhibit new properties. MAT’s tuned channels absorb 99% of the unwanted sound from the rear of driver, compared to around 60% absorption from loudspeakers using different approaches.

Single Apparent Source technology aims to achieve the acoustic ideal of a point source, where low, mid and high frequencies radiate from one point. Perfectly calibrated drivers that cover the entire bandwidth of the loudspeaker are configured so that all frequencies appear to radiate from one single point. The result is noticeably more precise imaging and highly accurate sound across a wider area.
