Perlisten Audio X Series (updated 12/8/2026)

Perlisten's new X Series offers a more affordable way of entering the world of Perlisten home theatre.

The new X Series forgoes the complex and excellent two-way DPC array for which Perlisten are now well known, for a far simpler and more conventional waveguide aided single HF unit. While this produces less controlled directivity, it still produces an even in-room response, making them less fussy and easier to set up. The drivers based on the soft dome HF units and glass fibre mid/bass drivers from the A Series.

The range has been designed for on-wall mounting, although some in-wall options will soon be available. This makes them ideal for hiding behind fabric walls, although some may want to show off the smoothly finished, hefty solid aluminium cabinets - these are available in matte black or matte white finishes, and the fabric grille really softens their appearance. This approach also makes them ideal for media walls. All models come complete with an easy-mount wall bracket.

All models possess a frequency response of 65Hz-30kHz, with a recommended amplifier power of 50-200 watts. All are a nominal 4ohms impedance.

Ideal for medium-large rooms.

PACKAGES

We will shortly have configurable X2, X3, and X5 packages on the website, all with Perlisten subwoofer options. We appreciate these still add a fair chunk to the overall cost, so we will also have options based around the excellent SVS subwoofers to reduce package prices, with an option to upgrade to a Perlisten sub later via full money back part-exchange.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

With prices starting at £700 per speaker (in-ceiling model), it's now far easier to get into high performance home theatre, or add Perlisten on-wall options to existing systems. All models come with wall bracket, and available in Matte Black and Matte White.
