Perlisten Audio X Series

Perlisten's new X Series offers a more affordable way of entering the world of Perlisten.

The new X Series forgoes the complex and excellent two-way DPC array for which Perlisten are now well known, for a far simpler and more conventional waveguide aided HF unit. While this produces less controlled directivity, it does produce an even in-room response which will be easier to set up for the average user. The drivers used are the soft dome HF units and glass fibre mid/bass drivers from the A Series.

The range has been designed for on-wall mounting, although some in-wall options will soon be available. This makes them ideal for hiding behind fabric walls, although some may want to show off the smoothly finished solid aluminium cabinets. This approach also makes them ideal for media walls.

MODELS

The two-way X2w comprises a 26mm soft dome tweeter from Perlisten's Reference range, set back into a waveguide. This is backed up by a long throw 5.25" carbon fibre mid/bass driver hidden behind a flush mounted grille.

The two-way X3w comprises a 26mm soft dome tweeter from Perlisten's Reference range, set back into a waveguide. Above and below this are two long throw 5.25" carbon fibre mid/bass drivers hidden behind a flush mounted grille.

The three-way X5w comprises a 26mm soft dome tweeter from Perlisten's Reference range, set back into a waveguide. Above and below this are two long throw 5.25" carbon fibre midrange drivers hidden behind a flush mounted grille. Above and below these are two 5.25" carbon fibre bass drivers, allowing more output over the X3w model.

PACKAGES

We will shortly have configurable X2, X3, and X5 packages on the website, all with Perlisten subwoofer options. We appreciate these still add a fair chunk to the overall cost, so we also shortly have options based around the excellent SVS subwoofers to reduce package prices.

PRICING AND AVAILABILITY

With prices starting at £800 per speaker, it's now far easier to get into Perlisten home theatre, or add Perlisten options to existing systems. All models come with wall bracket, and available in Matte Black and Matte White.
